Eyelash Primer – For Long-Lasting Lash Retention

The I AM Lash Eyelash Primer is the prep step that solves one specific problem: oil.

Adhesive bonds to the first thing it touches — so when sebum, skincare or makeup residue is sitting on the natural lash, your glue bonds to the film rather than the lash. Primer cuts through it, leaving a clean, matte, grippy surface where the adhesive needs one.

Formulated for oily, thick and healthy natural lashes, it opens the lash cuticle for stronger adhesive bonding and gives you faster, surer attachment with fewer re-placements. Clear formula, light strawberry scent, and a bottle that lasts a year.

When to use it

Primer is prescribed, not automatic. Reach for it when your client:

  • Has oily skin or oily lashes
  • Wears heavy makeup, skincare or lash serums
  • Has persistent retention problems when everything else is right
  • Is coming in during warmer months, when sweat and sebum increase

Use pre-treatment alone instead for clients with dry, fragile or mature natural lashes — a deeper degrease isn't what those lashes need.

How to use

Apply after pre-treatment, before extensions.

  1. Wash the natural lashes with lash cleanser and water.
  2. Apply a small amount of eyelash primer to two micro brushes.
  3. Wipe off the excess — too much product on the brush risks it running into the client's eyes.
  4. Place one micro brush beneath the lashes and the other on top. A wooden spatula beneath the natural lashes also works.
  5. Gently brush the primer over the lashes, concentrating on the adhesive bonding area.
  6. Do not rinse.
  7. Lashes must be completely dry before you apply extensions.

Less is more. Too much primer can irritate the client and weaken the bond rather than strengthen it. A minimal amount, excess wiped off, applied only where the adhesive will sit.

Ethanol, Water, Glycerol, Plant Extract.

Cautions

External use only. Do not swallow. Avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. In case of direct contact with eyes, flush with cool water for 15 minutes. Stop using in case of reaction.

Keep tightly closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — the formula is flammable. Keep out of reach of children.

Use within twelve months of opening.
